Shops, patios, markets, workshops, art, food, pop-ups and neighbourhood businesses are getting in on the weekend, which means your carefully planned itinerary may not survive contact with 9th Avenue.

Back to the Streets begins with Western Cup taking to the greens for a Pride Weekend lawn bowling tournament: part competition, part reunion, and part highly civilized excuse to spend an evening outside with queer community.
This is the warm-up before the street gets louder. Come roll, spectate, socialize, and begin Pride Weekend at a pace that still allows for snacks.
Additional Friday-night plans are still being finalized.
Start with sport. Stay for whatever happens after the scorecards disappear.

Saturday begins where Pride has always known how to begin: in the street.
The Treaty 7 Dyke & Trans March brings dyke and trans visibility, protest, care, community power, leather jackets, practical footwear, and the time-honoured queer tradition of refusing to behave quietly before landing in Inglewood.

Sponsored by TD in partnership with Calgary Pride, the neighbourhood opens into an all-ages afternoon of queer and trans performance, drag, music, dance, storytelling, community voices, family programming, local business activations, patios, and the kind of public gathering that makes your original plans quietly irrelevant.
Cold Garden becomes the central gathering hub, but the afternoon refuses to stay neatly contained. Pride spills across the stage, sidewalks, taproom, nearby green space, storefronts, and surrounding neighbourhood.
Settle in for Reading with Royalty, where drag, storytelling, and theatrical sparkle create space for younger audiences, families, and the young-at-heart. Then gather around the arm-wrestling competition, serving strength, spectacle, friendly rivalry, and some extremely serious forearm business.
With support from our friends at the Inglewood BIA, the whole neighbourhood gets in on it: patios, shops, studios, galleries, markets, workshops, local art, food, community organizations, family-friendly activities, and pop-up surprises turn the afternoon into a choose-your-own-adventure of things to watch, make, taste, browse, cheer for, and stumble into.
Watch something. Make something. Cheer loudly. Meet someone new. Let the street set the itinerary.
Come for the March. Stay because the whole neighbourhood joined in.

Saturday night puts on lashes.
As the all-ages gathering winds down, the stage resets and the neighbourhood takes a breath just long enough to grab dinner, claim a patio, and reapply the eyeliner.
Then Glam on Tap: Sunset Patio Party , presented by UCalgary Alumn takes over outside Cold Garden.
This 18+ spectacle brings drag, live performance, music, dancing, and a sky doing its best lighting design as the afternoon’s community gathering shifts into full-volume nightlife.
When the final number lands, nobody needs to go far. The party moves inside Cold Garden, where its famously eclectic, explicitly inclusive taproom transforms into a late-night dance floor powered by high-energy, disco-dusted house and club sounds.
Part neighbourhood clubhouse, part psychedelic grandma’s basement, and fully committed to keeping the night moving, Cold Garden gives the weekend somewhere to get louder after dark.
This is not the quiet end of the day. It is the handoff from street to stage to dance floor.

Expect markets, free workshops, local art, tattoo flash, shops, patios, family-friendly activities, Pride offers, small-business treasures, and rainbow wall hangings that are absolutely, unquestionably, definitely not flags.
Many of these neighbourhood activations will be happening throughout both Saturday and Sunday, so consider this your chance to catch what you missed, revisit a favourite, or surrender your plans to a particularly persuasive storefront..

When the Calgary Pride Parade reaches its finish line at 4 Street SE in East Village, Pride is only changing venues.
Skip, stroll, roll, or strut across the 9 Avenue bridge and into Inglewood, where Black Pride YYC takes over the afternoon with Calgary’s only festival dedicated to celebrating Black 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Just follow the river, the people, and the increasingly excellent music.
Free and family-friendly, this is a whole afternoon to live inside, not simply a lineup to watch from the edges. Expect live music, drag, cultural performances, DJs, local artists, food, wellness, small businesses, community organizations, and interactive activities filling one joyful outdoor gathering.
Dance. Eat. Browse. Listen. Find your people. Meet someone new. Discover an artist, support something local, take a breath, then get pulled back toward the music.
This is culture, creativity, community, and care sharing the same afternoon, with plenty of room for celebration to get loud.
The parade may have reached its finish line. Pride has not.
Come for the parade. Cross the bridge. Stay for Black queer joy at full volume.

As daylight softens, Black Pride YYC and Versions, turn the gathering toward the dance floor, keeping the celebration moving with house music, DJs, dancing, and a community-built pulse that refuses to fade politely into Sunday night.
This is where the afternoon stretches its legs. Grab something to eat, find your people, move closer to the music, and let “one more song” begin making increasingly persuasive arguments.
It is not the part where Pride Weekend winds down. It is the part where the bass gets involved, strangers become dance-floor neighbours, and everyone remembers that holiday Monday is not a curfew.
